Comens Conducts Pre-Acceptance of Labo Combi at Nordmeccanica's Piacenza Plant, Deepening Technical Collaboration

Piacenza, Italy, December 12, 2025 – Recently, a delegation from Comens conducted an in-depth tour of the Piacenza production facility of global laminating and coating machinery leader Nordmeccanica Group and successfully completed the on-site pre-acceptance of the ordered Labo Combi. This visit not only highlights the close collaboration between the two parties in the high-end machinery sector but also marks a crucial step for Comens in enhancing its material R&D capabilities and accelerating the industrialization of technological innovation.

During the acceptance process, Comens' technical team systematically tested and verified the machine's mechanical structure, electrical systems, control software, and key process parameters (including coating/lamination accuracy, speed range, temperature control stability, tension control, etc.) in accordance with the agreed specifications. Nordmeccanica engineers conducted live demonstrations of the machine operation and data acquisition procedures. Following a comprehensive evaluation, all performance metrics of the machine met the agreed standards, with stable and reliable operation, earning unanimous approval from the Comens delegation.

As one of the largest producers of polyurethane adhesives in China, Comens views the acquisition of the Labo Combi 400 as a strategically important investment. The introduction of this advanced laboratory-scale platform is aimed at further strengthening the long-term collaboration between Comens and Nordmeccanica, enabling deeper joint development in adhesive formulation innovation, process validation, and high-end application solutions. This strategic focus underscores Comens’ long-term commitment to technological leadership and close cooperation with world-class equipment partners.

The equipment is now in the final preparation stage for shipment and is expected to be delivered to Comens' China R&D Center for installation and commissioning in the near future. Both parties expressed their intention to use this cooperation as a new starting point for deepening collaboration in areas such as high-end material equipment, process development, and technical exchanges, jointly advancing the progress and development of the global new materials industry.
